Week In Review for week ending 5/5

Just a quick little synopsis of what occurred this week.

• Israel / Gaza / Palestine / Iran / Hamas / Middle East are still beefing. A cease fire seems slim.
• Protests over what is going on in the Middle East continues around the world, to limited effect.
• Oh yeah, Russian and Ukraine are still beefing.
• Floods in Kenya have killed 200+.
• Floods in Brazel have killed 75+.
• On the positive side, Caitlin Clark played her first preseason WNBA game to much success.
• May the 4th be with you" came and went, I know I was watching Star Wars series on TBS.
• Zenday's "Challenger" takes the #1 spot for US domestic box office.
• Drake fires diss tracks at Kendrick Lamar w/ others catching strays.
• In response, Kendrick responds in scorched earth fashion to smother Drake.

What I'm watching...

So I sit back and monitor Chatro, keep things going, and make sure the site keeps working as normal. So while I do that, I'm usually watching TV so I figured I'd share with you some things I'm watching while keeping tabs on Chatro. Why not right? Anyway, I'll keep the content here pretty much adult in nature so there won't be a lot of Disney (unless Marvel related) or cutesie shit here. Don't expect it either. I'm a big sci-fi, mystery, action movie, popcorn movie type of guy so with my eyes all over the streaming services, I figure I'd share what is out there.

WATCHING: For All Mankind - AppleTV+ - Season 3- 9/10

I've kind of been putting this off for a while but eventually got back around to watching this series. This is a show about an alternative reality/timeline where the US lost the space race to the Russians and show a possible implication of the future centering around a race in space, putting more emphasis as space as the next battlefield as much or more than the nuclear arms race. With that stated, historical accuracy will always be subjective as it is an alternate reality/timeline. I'm highly enjoying it so far.

WATCHED: Fallout - Prime Video - Season 1 - 9.5/10

This new show on Amazon Prime Video is a live adaptation of the very popular RPG video game series by Bethesda Games and Obsidian Entertainment. It is amazing and really captures the spirit and energy of the video game series. While it is a script and plot within the Fallout universe, it is not an adaptation of one of the game plots but is considered canon within the Fallout universe. Any gamers out there probably have already seen it but if not should definitely tune in asap.

WATCHING: NCIS / Fire Country / SWAT - Paramount+ - 7 to 8/10

My old shows are back on now that the new season has launched. Remember, the seasons of our favorite broadcast TV shows in the US were delayed because of the writers guild and screen actors guild strikes. Now that those have been resolved, they're back to work and most seasons will be shortened seasons, cramming in as many episodes they can until May-June. I've been watching NCIS since season 1 and it's now on Season 21. Yikes! SWAT is coming to an end with Season 7, featuring Shemar Moore. Fire Country is in its second season but the most popular new show, ratings wise, for 2022-23 All worthy of binge watching on Paramount+ if you want.
